دُعَاؤُهُ إذا ذُكِرَ الشيطان فَاستَعاذَ مِنهُِWhen he Mentioned Satan and Sought Refuge from him 1 O God, we seek refuge in Thee أَللَّهُمَّ إنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ 1 2 from the instigations of the accursed Satan, his trickery, and his traps, مِنْ نَزَغَـاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَكَيْدِهِ وَمَكَائِدِهِ، 2 3 from trust in his false hopes, his promises, his delusions, and his snares, وَمِنَ الثِّقَةِ بِأَمَـانِيِّهِ وَمَوَاعِيدِهِ وَغُرُورِهِ وَمَصَائِدِهِ، 3 4 and lest he should make himself crave to lead us away وَأَنْ يُطْمِعَ نَفْسَهُ فِي إضْلاَلِنَا 4 5 from Thy obedience and to degrade us through our disobeying Thee, عَنْ طَاعَتِكَ وَامْتِهَانِنَا بِمَعْصِيَتِكَ، 5 6 and lest what he has shown us as beautiful be beautiful for us أَوْ أَنْ يَحْسُنَ عِنْدَنَا مَا حَسَّنَ لَنَا، 6 7 and what he has shown us as detestable weigh down upon us. أَوْ أَنْ يَثْقُلَ عَلَيْنَا مَا كَرَّهَ إلَيْنَا. 7 8 O God, drive him away from us through Thy worship, أللَّهُمَّ اخْسَأْهُ عَنَّا بِعِبَادَتِكَ، 8 9 throw him down through our perseverance in Thy love, وَاكْبِتْهُ بِدُؤوبِنَا فِي مَحَبَّتِكَ، 9 10 and place between him and us a covering that he cannot tear away وَاجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ سِتْراً لاَ يَهْتِكُهُ، 10 11 and a solid barrier that he cannot cut through! وَرَدْماً مُصْمِتاً لا يَفْتُقُهُ. 11 12 O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, أللَّهُمَّ صَـلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِـهِ، 12 13 distract Satan from us with some of Thy enemies, وَاشْغَلْهُ عَنَّا بِبَعْضِ أَعْدَائِكَ، 13 14 preserve us from him through Thy good guarding, spare us his treachery, وَاعْصِمْنَا مِنْهُ بِحُسْنِ رِعَايَتِكَ، وَاكْفِنَا خَتْرَهُ، 14 15 turn his back toward us, and cut off from us his trace! وَوَلِّنَا ظَهْرَهُ، وَاقْطَعْ عَنَّا إثْرَهُ. 15 16 O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ 16 17 give us to enjoy guidance the like of his misguidance, وَأَمْتِعْنَا مِنَ الْهُدَى، بِمِثْلِ ضَلاَلَتِهِ، 17 18 increase us in piety against his seduction, وَزَوِّدْنَا مِنَ التَّقْوَى ضِدَّ غَوَايَتِهِ، 18 19 and make us walk in reverential fear contrary to his path of ruin! وَاسْلُكْ بِنَـا مِنَ التُّقى خِـلافَ سَبِيلِهِ مِنَ الـرَّدى. 19 20 O God, assign him no place of entrance into our hearts أللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَجْعَلْ لَهُ فِي قُلُوبِنَا مَدْخَلاً 20 21 and do not allow him to make his home in that which is with us! وَلاَ تُوطِنَنَّ لَهُ فِيمَا لَدَيْنَا مَنْزِلاً. 21 22 O God, cause us to recognize the falsehood with which he tempts us, اللَّهُمَّ وَمَا سَوَّلَ لَنَا مِنْ بَاطِل فَعَرِّفْنَاهُ 22 23 and once Thou hast caused us to recognize it, protect us from it! Make us see what will allow us to outwit him, وَإذَا عَرَّفْتَنَاهُ فَقِنَاهُ، وَبَصِّرْنَا مَا نُكَايِدُهُ بِهِ، 23 24 inspire us with all that we can make ready for him, awaken us from the heedless slumber of relying upon him, وَأَلْهِمْنَا مَا نُعِدُّهُ لَهُ، وَأَيْقِظْنَا عَنْ سِنَةِ الْغَفْلَةِ بِالرُّكُونِ إلَيْهِ 24 25 and help us well, through Thy giving success, against him! وَأَحْسِنْ بِتَوْفِيقِكَ عَوْنَنَا عَلَيْهِ. 25 26 O God, saturate our hearts with the rejection of his works اللَّهُمَّ وَأَشْرِبْ قُلُوبَنَـا إنْكَارَ عَمَلِهِ، 26 27 and be gentle to us by destroying his stratagems! وَالْـطُفْ لَنَا فِي نَقضِ حِيَلِهِ. 27 28 O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, turn his authority away from us, أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ وَحَوِّلْ سُلْطَانَهُ عَنَّا، 28 29 cut off his hope from us, and keep him from craving for us! وَاقْطَعْ رَجَاءَهُ مِنَّا ، وادْرَأْه عَنِ الْوُلُوعِ بِنَا. 29 30 O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ 30 31 and place our fathers, our mothers, our children, our wives, وَاجْعَلْ آباءَنَا وَأُمَّهَاتِنَا وَأَوْلاَدَنَا وَأَهَالِينَا 31 32 our siblings, our relatives, and the faithful among our neighbours, وَذَوِي أَرْحَامِنَا وَقَرَابَاتِنَا وَجِيْرَانَنَا 32 33 male and female, in a sanctuary impregnable to him, مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَـاتِ مِنْهُ فِي حِرْز حَـارِز، 33 34 a guarding fortress, a defending cave! Clothe them in shields protective against him وَحِصْن حَافِظ ، وَكَهْف مَانِع، وَألْبِسْهُمْ مِنْهُ جُنَناً وَاقِيَةً، 34 35 and give them arms that will cut him down! وَأَعْطِهِمْ عَلَيْهِ أَسْلِحَةً مَاضِيَةً 35 36 O God, include in that everyone who witnesses to Thee as Lord, أللَّهُمَّ وَاعْمُمْ بِذلِكَ مَنْ شَهِدَ لَكَ بِالرُّبُوبِيَّةِ، 36 37 devotes himself sincerely to Thy Unity, وَأَخْلَصَ لَكَ بِالْوَحْدَانِيَّةِ، 37 38 shows enmity toward him through the reality of servanthood, وَعَادَاهُ لَكَ بِحَقِيقَةِ الْعُبُودِيَّة، 38 39 and seeks help from Thee against him through knowledge of the divine sciences! وَاسْتَظْهَرَ بِكَ عَلَيْهِ فِي مَعْرِفَةِ الْعُلُومِ الرَّبَّانِيَّةِ. 39 40 O God, undo what he ties, unstitch what he sews up, اللَّهُمَّ احْلُلْ مَا عَقَدَ، وَافْتقْ مَا رَتَقَ، 40 41 dislocate what he devises, frustrate him when he makes up his mind, and destroy what he establishes! وَافسَخ مَا دَبَّرَ، وَثَبِّطْهُ إذَا عَزَمَ، وَانْقُضْ مَا أَبْرَمَ. 41 42 O God, rout his troops, nullify his trickery, اللَّهُمَّ وَاهْزِمْ جُنْدَهُ وَأَبْطِلْ كَيْدَهُ 42 43 make his cave collapse, and rub his nose in the ground! وَاهْدِمْ كَهْفَهُ وَأَرْغِمْ أَنْفَهُ. 43 44 O God, place us in the ranks of his enemies اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا فِي نَظْم أَعْدَآئِهِ 44 45 and remove us from the number of his friends, وَاعْزِلْنَا عَنْ عِدَادِ أَوْلِيَائِهِ، 45 46 that we obey him not when he entices us لا نُطِيعُ لَهُ إذَا اسْتَهْوَانَا، 46 47 and answer him not when he calls to us! وَلا نَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ إذَا دَعَانَا 47 48 We command everyone who obeys our command to be his enemy نَأْمُرُ بِمُنَاوَاتِهِ مَنْ أَطَاعَ أَمْرَنَا 48 49 and we admonish everyone who follows our prohibition not to follow him! وَنَعِظُ عَنْ مُتَابَعَتِهِ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ زَجْرَنَا. 49 50 O God, bless Muhammad the Seal of the prophets and lord of the emissaries, اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَسَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ 50 51 and the folk of his house, the good, the pure! وَعَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الـطَّاهِرِينَ 51 52 Give refuge to us, our families, our brothers, وَأَعِذْنَا وَأَهَـالِينَا وَإخْـوَانَنَا 52 53 and all the faithful, male and female, from that from which we seek refuge, وَجَمِيـعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ مِمَّا اسْتَعَذْنَا مِنْهُ، 53 54 and grant us sanctuary from that through fear of which we seek sanctuary in Thee! وَأَجِرْنَا مِمَّا اسْتَجَرْنَا بِكَ مِنْ خَوْفِهِ 54 55 Hear our supplication to Thee, bestow upon us that of which we have been heedless, and safeguard for us what we have forgotten! وَاسْمَعْ لَنَا مَا دَعَوْنَا بِهِ وَأَعْطِنَا مَا أَغْفَلْنَاهُ وَاحْفَظْ لَنَا مَا نَسِيْنَاهُ، 55 56 Through all this bring us into the ranks of the righteous وَصَيِّرْنَا بِذَلِكَ فِي دَرَجَاتِ الصَّالِحِينَ 56 57 and the degrees of the faithful! وَمَـرَاتِبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ 57 58 Amen, Lord of the worlds! آمينَ رَبَّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ . 58 |
